MEFMA
steps up efforts to
strengthen corporate
sectors’ role in regional
facilities management
(Dubai) -
The
Middle East Facility
Management Association (MEFMA)
has announced that it has
formed a new category for
its members, the Strategic
Corporate Members, and
established the Strategic
Corporate Members Committee,
which would include MEFMA’s
pioneering members. MEFMA
said it reflects the
Association’s focus on
developing new opportunities
for strategic engagements by
the corporate sector and
enhance their role in
developing the FM industry.
The recent development,
announced during a reception
held on March 14, 2018 at
The Viewing Deck, The Palace
Downtown Hotel in Dubai, is
in line with its efforts to
further consolidate the
regional FM industry in
various initiatives
including research,
educational programs and
formulating sustainable FM
strategies.
Jamal Lootah, President,
MEFMA, said: “As the
regional facilities
management sector continues
to evolve, it is an
opportune time to thank all
the association’s members
for their continuous efforts
and commitment to push for
growth in the management of
the built environment and
relevant sectors. MEFMA is
steadfast in implementing
sustainable FM strategies
and the members’
contributions are
undoubtedly significant
towards an integrated
management of all aspects of
the FM sector and in
attracting global leaders to
become part of our regional
activities.”
The Founding Members’
Reception also honoured
MEFMA’s founders and their
contribution to the
organization’s success in
the last eight years since
inception. MEFMA has 11

Facilities Management;
Untied Facilities Management
and Wasl Asset Management
Group.
Ali Al Suwaidi, Vice
President, MEFMA, commented:

critical to MEFMA’s growth
and the regional FM sector
as our members are the most
effective advocates of FM
within their area of
influence. It is necessary
for us to acknowledge the
day-to-day efforts which
lead to educate the
different stakeholders about

cycle of any facility. We
are confident that the
growing network of our
members will continue to
propel the region forward as
a sustainable hub for FM
best practices toward
supporting the various real
estate, retail, government,
healthcare and education
sectors amongst others.”
MEFMA reaches out to members
and governments across the
Middle East, providing
conferences, networking
events, and certifications
to help shape a sustainable
built environment today and
for the next generation.
MEFMA was formed under the
Dubai Association Centre (DAC),
an initiative led by the
Dubai Chamber of Commerce &
Industry’s Dubai Business
Events – part of Department
for Tourism and Commerce
Marketing – and the Dubai
World Trade Centre.
