Wio Bank and Toothpick
launch flexible payment
options for dental patients
in UAE
(DUBAI)
-
Wio Bank and dental
technology platform
Toothpick have launched
a program allowing eligible
patients in the United Arab
Emirates to spread the cost
of dental treatment over six
or 12 months without
interest.
Under the
Patient Card Program,
patients paying for
treatment at participating
Toothpick clinics with a Wio
Personal Credit Card can use
0% interest installment
plans, the company said.
Patients who do not have a
Wio Personal Credit Card can
apply through Wio's mobile
banking app.
The
program is aimed at
providing an alternative way
for patients to manage
upfront dental treatment
costs, although eligibility
and applicable terms will
depend on the card and
treatment involved.
Toothpick said its network
includes more than 1,200
clinics across the UAE. As
part of the partnership,
clinics in the network will
also have access to Wio
Business accounts, business
loans and business credit
cards.
Wio said its
financing offering for
clinics includes equipment
financing of up to 10
million UAE dirhams ($2.72
million), subject to its
lending criteria and terms.
The companies did not
disclose the number of
clinics initially
participating in the patient
financing program.
"Partnering with Toothpick
brings Wio's financial
services to both patients
and healthcare providers,"
said Prateek Vahie, Chief
Commercial Officer at Wio
Bank PJSC.
Sary
Azakir, Co-Founder and Chief
Growth Officer of Toothpick,
said: "The partnership would
support the company's
efforts to combine
healthcare technology and
financial services across
its network."
The
Patient Card Program will be
available at participating
Toothpick clinics across the
UAE, the companies said.
