H.E. Salama Al Ameemi,
Director General of the
Family Care Authority, on
the Declaration of 2026 as
the “Year of the Family”
(ABU DHABI)
- Declaring 2026 as the Year
of the Family is more than a
national initiative; it is a
powerful reminder that every
great nation begins with
strong families. With this
visionary announcement, His
Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, President
of the UAE, reaffirms that
the family is not only the
heart of our society but the
foundation of its stability,
progress, and well-being.
In today’s fast-changing
world, families are the
anchors that preserve our
values while enabling our
people to grow and adapt
with confidence. The Year of
the Family celebrates this
balance between tradition
and transformation, between
belonging and aspiration.
At the Family Care Authority
(FCA), we see this as a
renewed call to action.
Every program we deliver,
every service we design, is
dedicated to strengthening
the family unit, to ensure
that parents are supported,
children are protected,
youth are empowered, and
communities are connected.
In collaboration with our
partners, and in alignment
with the National Family
Growth Agenda 2031, we are
working to create an
environment where every
family becomes a source of
resilience, compassion, and
hope for the generations to
come.
Because when
families thrive, the nation
flourishes.
