RAKEZ reaches 50,000 active companies

RAKEZ reaches 50,000 active companies

(RAS Al KHAIMAH) - Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) says its business community has reached 50,000 active companies, marking a significant milestone for the economic zone and reflecting continued business activity in Ras Al Khaimah.

The companies are based across more than 100 countries and operate in more than 50 sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, food and beverage, electronics, medical products, general trading, e-commerce, media, consulting and professional services.

Commenting on the milestone, RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad said, “Reaching 50,000 companies is an important milestone that reflects the trust we have built with the business community over the years. What we value most is not the number itself, but what it represents: businesses, ambitions and investments that have chosen to grow within an ecosystem designed to respond to their needs and support their plans. We are proud to be part of their success journeys. As these businesses grow, they create opportunities, generate jobs, advance industries and strengthen their contribution to the economy and the wider community. That is the real impact of a 50,000-strong business community.”

Jallad said the organization would continue to focus on customer services, digital capabilities, infrastructure and partnerships as part of Ras Al Khaimah’s broader economic diversification strategy.

RAKEZ’s industrial and manufacturing activities include engineering and industrial equipment, building materials, food and beverage, electronics and electrical products, medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and other manufacturing operations. Its wider business community includes companies in trading, healthcare and personal care products distribution, e-commerce, media and marketing, management consultancy and professional services.

The economic zone has also expanded its international outreach through roadshows, business missions and partnerships in markets including India, Europe and China. According to RAKEZ, these initiatives are intended to support international companies considering investment or expansion in Ras Al Khaimah.

The 50,000-company figure comes as Ras Al Khaimah continues efforts to diversify its economy and attract investment across industrial, commercial and service sectors. RAKEZ said the milestone provides a basis for further expansion of its business community and its contribution to the emirate’s economic development.
