Magrabi Health acquires UniDents Dental Clinics

(JEDDAH) - Magrabi Health has acquired UniDents Dental Clinics, one of Jeddah’s leading specialized dental clinics, to strengthen its presence in dentistry across the Kingdom. This acquisition comes as part of Magrabi Health’s expansion plans and strategy to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare, reaffirming its position as one of Saudi Arabia’s most trusted dental service providers.

This milestone marks a significant step in Magrabi Health’s journey to expand its market share and support its strategy as it celebrates its 70th anniversary. Through this acquisition, Magrabi Health becomes the majority stakeholder.

The acquisition aims to expand Magrabi Health’s dental services network to 400 chairs within the next two years. Located in Jeddah, UniDents houses 18 advanced dental chairs operated by a team of highly skilled Saudi professionals. These will be integrated into Magrabi Health’s growing network.

On this occasion, Mr. Mutasim Alireza, Chief Executive Officer of Magrabi Health, said: “This acquisition is a pivotal step toward developing the concept of integrated healthcare in the region. I would like to thank Dr. Abdulrahman Barzangi and Professor Ali Saad AlGhamdi for their tireless efforts in making this integration a success. By welcoming UniDents into the Magrabi Health family, we are not only expanding our presence but also raising the standard of dental care in Jeddah, in line with our long-term vision to lead in premium healthcare services and build a platform that delivers sustainable value to patients and communities alike. Aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, we also aim to invest in digital health, advance clinical excellence, and create opportunities for Saudi talent, empowering local professionals and building their expertise as we scale continuously.”

Dr. Abdulrahman Barzangi, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Magrabi Health, commented: “This merger is a strategic step built on shared values and complementary strengths. UniDents’ Saudi-led team brings exceptional clinical expertise, and we are proud to integrate their experience into our growing network to build a more resilient and scalable healthcare system that meets patient needs across the Kingdom.”

He added: “With my own background in dentistry, it has always been my professional aspiration to grow this practice within Magrabi Health to the same level of success we have achieved in ophthalmology. The acquisition of UniDents is a key step towards realizing that ambition.”

Professor Ali Saad AlGhamdi, Chief Doctor of UniDents, affirmed that the acquisition of UniDents by Magrabi Health represents an important strategic step for their company, contributing to raising the level of services and expanding access, while maintaining the delivery of trusted and specialized dental care.

AlGhamdi added that this integration will mark a qualitative leap in the Kingdom’s dental services sector and reflects the commitment of both institutions to excellence and quality in serving patients.

The acquisition was officially announced during a high-profile signing ceremony at Leylaty Hall in Jeddah, attended by distinguished figures from the healthcare, business, and government sectors, as well as the executive leadership teams of both organizations.

It is noteworthy that Magrabi Health has, for more than seven decades, led the path of medical innovation in the Kingdom, delivering world-class treatments in ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry, and dermatology, while leveraging the latest technologies and the best medical expertise to ensure the highest standards of healthcare quality.
