Diaverum opens its first renal care clinic in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
 

(BISHKEK) - Diaverum, a renal care provider owned by M42 Group, has opened its first clinic in Kyrgyzstan, in the capital Bishkek, expanding its dialysis services into the Central Asian country.

The clinic is being established in cooperation with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and will provide state-funded dialysis to eligible patients, the company said.

The opening comes as Kyrgyzstan faces a growing burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Recent research cited by Diaverum estimates CKD prevalence at 10.8% among adults in the country.

The Bishkek clinic will initially have 15 dialysis stations operating across three shifts from Monday to Saturday, with plans to increase capacity to 20 stations, according to the company. It will provide hemodialysis and is expected to work with local health authorities on areas including prevention, earlier detection, and management of CKD and related conditions.

The clinic's inauguration was attended by representatives of Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Health, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and other government bodies, as well as representatives of M42, Diaverum and diplomatic missions.

Diaverum has more than 35 years of experience in renal care and operates more than 460 clinics in 26 countries, serving more than 47,000 patients, according to the company.

The company's expansion into Kyrgyzstan comes as it marks 10 years of operations in neighboring Kazakhstan. Diaverum operates 55 clinics there and provides dialysis to more than 3,400 patients, the company said.

Diaverum is part of M42, a healthcare group whose businesses include healthcare services, digital health, and genomics.

"Kyrgyzstan represents an important new chapter in Diaverum's international journey," Chief Executive Rafael Romanini said. "We look forward to contributing to the continued development of renal services" through partnerships and knowledge sharing.

M42 Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East and Asia Ziyad Kabli said the company planned to combine Diaverum's renal care experience with M42's broader healthcare capabilities and local partnerships.

Amantur Ryskulov, Diaverum's regional general manager for Southeast Asia and Central and East Asia, said the company would work with the government, healthcare professionals, and local communities on dialysis and the management of chronic kidney disease.
