The
tournament supported broader
efforts to encourage
physical activity and
promote active lifestyles
through organized sporting
events and workplace
engagement.

Promoting physical
activity through corporate
sport
Commenting on the
tournament, Abdullah
Al-Hazza, CEO of the Saudi
Padel Federation,
said the competition
reflected growing corporate
participation in padel
across the Kingdom.
He highlighted the role of
partnerships in supporting
the development of the
sport, expanding
opportunities for
participation and improving
the competitive environment
for players.
Marwa Afandi, Senior
Director of Marketing and
Customer Experience at Bupa
Arabia, said the
tournament had expanded its
participation among
companies and provided
opportunities for employees
to engage in sport and
recreational activities.
The initiative also
aimed to strengthen
connections among employees
and encourage participation
in activities associated
with an active lifestyle.
International
participation and
partnerships
The tournament featured
professional padel players
from several countries,
including Eneko Arija of
Spain, Federico Dip Nazar of
Italy, Fredrik Ask of Norway
and Ali Zaghloul of Egypt.
Exhibition matches featuring
professional players added
to the competition program.
Bupa Clinics
participated as the health
partner, while Sports
District supported the Al
Khobar event as a partner.
Other sponsors included
ASICS, 1Pass, Active
Division, Slope Roastery,
Breth, Harvest and TanGulf.
The tournament aligns
with wider Saudi Vision 2030
objectives to increase
participation in physical
activity and support
healthier lifestyles. While
organized sporting events
can provide opportunities
for community engagement and
exercise, their longer-term
contribution to population
health depends in part on
sustained participation and
access to regular physical
activity beyond individual
events.
