Nigeria’s Minister of Health visits Aster DM Healthcare in Dubai to discuss global healthcare collaboration
 

(DUBAI) - Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Honorable Minister of Health from Nigeria, headed a senior delegation from the Ministry of Health and the Consulate of Nigeria to Dubai for an official visit to Aster DM Healthcare's UAE facilities. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration in healthcare training, capacity building, and knowledge sharing between Nigeria’s Ministry of Health and Aster DM Healthcare.

Dr. Salako witnessed firsthand the international standards of care and medical excellence that Aster provides through its extensive network of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies in the region. The leadership team of Aster DM Healthcare warmly welcomed the delegation, who toured several state-of-the-art facilities, including Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital, Aster Hospital in Al Qusais, Aster Pharmacy stores, Medcare Medical Centre in Mirdif (Aster DM Healthcare’s holistic medicine clinic), Wellth, and Aster Pharmacy’s robotic warehouse. During the tour, the delegation engaged with senior clinicians, hospital administrators, and technology teams, who showcased Aster’s diverse clinical services, digital innovations, and programs focused on quality excellence.

The delegation found Aster's specialized initiatives particularly remarkable, including critical cardiac care that provides heart patients with a fresh lease on life, the pioneering WalkAgain robotic rehabilitation program that helps restore mobility to those suffering from neurological disorders, and extensive healthcare technology for women and children that secures safe pregnancies and optimistic futures, along with the advanced facilities that Aster has established for its cardiology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedic specializations.

Both parties agreed to establish a collaborative working framework between the Nigerian Ministry of Health and Aster DM Healthcare to translate these discussions into actionable plans that promote sustainable healthcare development and foster global partnerships to improve patient outcomes.
