ADCAN Pharma partners
with Pharma Resources to
enter German market
(MILAN)
-
ADCAN Pharma has signed an
agency agreement with
Germany-based Pharma
Resources GmbH at CPHI Milan
2026 to support the
regulatory process for
entering the German
pharmaceutical market.
The agreement will
support ADCAN Pharma in
pursuing product
registrations in Germany.
The process may also involve
an assessment of the
company's manufacturing
facilities against European
Union Good Manufacturing
Practice (EU GMP)
requirements, subject to the
applicable regulatory
procedures.
Dr. Shaikha Al Mazrouei,
Research and Studies Advisor
at the Emirates Drug
Establishment (EDE),
said: “The move toward
registering UAE-manufactured
pharmaceutical products in a
highly regulated market such
as Germany is an important
indicator of the development
of national manufacturing
capabilities and their
readiness to compete
globally. At the Emirates
Drug Establishment, we are
committed to strengthening
regulatory frameworks
aligned with global best
practices, advancing quality
and compliance, and
supporting national
manufacturers in meeting
international requirements
and expanding the global
reach of UAE-manufactured
medicines.”
Hamdan Aldahmani, Chairman
of ADCAN Pharma,
said the agreement supports
the company's efforts to
expand beyond the domestic
market and align its
manufacturing operations
with international
regulatory requirements.
Dr. Fokion
Sinis, Chief Executive
Officer of ADCAN Pharma,
said the partnership would
support preparations for the
EU GMP inspection and
certification process, where
applicable, and help the
company navigate the
regulatory requirements for
entering European markets.
Dr. Adel
Merzekani, Chief Operating
Officer of ADCAN Pharma,
said the company aims to
pursue European market
access through compliance
with applicable
manufacturing quality
standards and product
registration requirements.
Juliana
Dodillet, Managing Director
of Pharma Resources GmbH,
said the company would
provide regulatory expertise
and local market knowledge
to support ADCAN Pharma's
product registration efforts
in Germany.
Hans-Günter Beck, Head of
Regulatory Affairs and
Qualified Person Responsible
for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV)
at Pharma Resources GmbH,
added that the company would
advise ADCAN Pharma on
European regulatory
frameworks and the
requirements associated with
medicinal product
registration and lifecycle
management.
The
agreement comes amid efforts
in the UAE to strengthen
domestic pharmaceutical
manufacturing and support
manufacturers seeking access
to international markets.
The Emirates Drug
Establishment oversees the
regulation of medical
products in the UAE and
supports the development of
the country's pharmaceutical
sector.
The timeline
for product registration and
any required manufacturing
inspections or
certifications will depend
on the applicable regulatory
processes.
