Headline News PRETORIA | 12 July 2002 Iraq, South Africa discuss health cooperation
Talks dealt with the importance of joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including the health sector which serves the mutual interests for both countries. Deputy Prime Minister Aziz cited that this comes within Iraq’s policy to encourage productive cooperation and work between the states within the Middle East and Africa which understand the needs of each other. For her part, the South African Minister of Health expressed deep concern on the bad health situation in Iraq and its impact on women, children and the elderly. She showed a willingness for initiating cooperation among health installations in both countries.
