operating platform of initiatives fostered under the auspices of the
Gerolamo Gaslini Foundation and organized by the Giannina

International School of Pediatric Sciences of Genoa, Italy, has
selected ArabMedicare.com as its online launch pad to attract
Arab participation for a series of high-level 10-day residential
postgraduate training courses addressed to pediatricians and health
care practitioners from Mediterranean, Near Middle East and Central
and Eastern European countries. The overriding aim of these actions
is to provide participants from these countries with the skills and

As
part of the pilot phase, Gaslini International will be
convening two programs conducted by leading experts to be held in
Genova, Italy for the 2003 year, one in Infectious Diseases,
Immunology & Clinical Microbiology (July 7-18, 2003) and the
other in Pediatric Surgery (September 15-26, 2003).
Moreover, Gaslini International is pleased to announce
that, in this pilot phase, grants are being offered to Arab
participants to cover in full all tuition and local rooming &
boarding expenses.
“These
inaugural courses form part of a broader effort to consolidate
already existing collaborative bonds and to build on new
relationships that will ultimately be established.
The overarching goal of Gaslini International is to
effectively and efficiently network pediatric health care centers
throughout the Arab World,” said Thomas Wiley, Liaison Officer of
the G. Gaslini Hospital.
The
training programs will constitute a viable working platform to
ensure adequate continuity, quality control and follow-up of actions
aimed at providing standardized pediatric health care throughout the
regions addressed by the program.
“Regional specific
web portals like ArabMedicare.com will help Gaslini
international accelerate that process by providing us an online
platform to communicate effectively and efficiently with
pediatricians and healthcare practitioners from Arab countries,”
added Wiley.
“High-level
training programs like Gaslini International are proving to
be an excellent fit for ArabMedicare.com.
We are delighted to have Gaslini International
participate on our portal since a major focus of our efforts and
programs are designed to leverage the power of the Internet in order
to access and deliver world-class educational programs and
opportunities for the Arab healthcare profession.” The timing of
our cooperation is opportune,” said Mahatma Davis, Chief Executive
Officer of ArabMedicare.com.
