(ArabMedicare.com
News) -- Overweight
and obesity are a global
health problem. The company
Aipermon, a producer of
telemedicine systems from
Munich, Germany, has
launched a newly developed
telemetric device for
distribution in Arab
countries. This device can
have a significant positive
impact on weight loss. The
instrument, called "AiperMotion",
makes it possible to measure
all of the user's everyday
activities. It is only 78 x
48 x 20 mm in size and is
worn on the user's belt. An
integrated display allows
the user to view the
intensity and duration of
his activities, as well as
the resulting calories
burned. This way the amount
of energy burned by climbing
the stairs, doing housework
or working in the yard, to
name a few examples, can
immediately be seen.
Long-term evaluation of an
activity profile is possible
via computer software. There
is also a telemetric version
of the device which can
transmit the data to a
person monitoring the user.
This makes new types of
health programs possible.
"The
function of the instrument
is to motivate the user to
lead a more active
lifestyle, thereby achieving
a long-lasting weight
reduction," says Dr.
Schweizer, the managing
director of Aipermon.
"A scientific study by
the university in Magdeburg,
Germany showed that obese
families who used an
AiperMotion lost three times
as much weight as obese
families who did not use the
instrument". As a
result, the sensor is now
being used in clinical
weight-loss programs.
For
discriminating users,
Aipermon has also introduced
a 24 karat gold plated
version of the AiperMotion.
This special edition is
hand-made by a traditional
manufactory in Munich. So,
anyone who wants to lose
weight luxuriously should be
willing to part with excess
not only on his body but
also in his wallet - but
he'll save that on candy
anyway.

AiperMotion visit the
company web site at: www.aipermon.com.
