International Dental
Conference & Exhibition
(Gulf Dentex 2018).
Gulf Dentex 2018, will be

the global dental business

a strategic platform for
trade and knowledge sharing,
but also offer latest
innovations, cutting-edge
technology and dentistry
techniques to meet the
growing demands of the
ever-evolving world of
dental science in Middle
East.
It has been noted that the
global dental sector in 2016
was worth US $ 25.45 billion
and expected to reach US $
35.35 billion by 2021.
Middle East and Africa is
amongst the top high
potential dental markets in
the world, with fast growing
capabilities. In the
Middle-East & Africa the
dental consumables market
was valued at US $1.3
billion for the year 2015
and is poised to reach US
$1.44 billion by the end of
2020 while the Global Dental
consumables market shall
touch US $ 34.5 billion by
2021.
“Dental industry in the
Middle East and the UAE in
particular is experiencing a
surge. While there has
always been a consumer
appetite for quality dental
services, there has been a
recent increase in high end
treatment seekers which has
bought various international
healthcare providers and
retailers to operate in the
region. Backed by this
growing demand, Gulf Dentex
2018 aims to bring not just
the healthcare providers,
but the entire spectrum of
oral healthcare under one
roof,” said Dr. Ashok
Dhoble, Hon’ Secretary
General, Indian Dental
Association, India.
“We are delighted to
associate with the Indian
Dental Association to mark
the inaugural edition of
Gulf Dentex 2018. The event
will not only offer valuable
learning opportunities, but
also celebrate the success
and ground-breaking
initiatives of the UAE
dental and healthcare
market. The dental
profession and the dental
industry are vital partners
in delivering oral health to
populations around the
world. Their symbiotic
relationship is even more
important today as new
materials and technology are
developed rapidly to
accommodate the latest
treatment philosophies. At
Gulf Dentex, we aim to bring
the best in the industry
together to share ideas and
encouragement,” said Mr.
Satish Khanna, General
Manager, Al Fajer
Information & Services,
Dubai.
Gulf Dentex 2018 will host
world-leading health
practitioners, clinicians,
educators and researchers
who will present
cutting-edge and practical
clinical techniques and also
introduce new and emerging
research, facilities and
equipment’s in the field of
oral health.
Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau,
Department of Culture and
Tourism, Government of Abu
Dhabi is the Destination
Partner of Gulf Dentex.
“IDA’s efforts are aimed at
facilitating exchange of
ideas and innovations, and
Gulf Dentex 2018 is a
reflection of our
resolution. While the event
will facilitate scientific
cases, studies and
researches, which will keep
the dental fraternity
abreast of the new advances
and technologies, the
scientific sessions will
also bring together leading
and high-caliber
experts to highlight
approaches to improve the
oral care of patients with a
special focus on preventive
measures,” said Dr. Ashok
Dhoble.
“UAE has what it takes to
become the preferred
destination for oral
healthcare, and through Gulf
Dentex 2018, our objective
is to create increased
awareness about the
facilities and services
offered by the country. We
aim to showcase UAE’s
expertise to not just the
local audience, but also to
international audiences,”
added Dr. Ashok Dhoble.
“In
2020, the global oral care
market is estimated to be
worth about 39.47 billion
U.S. dollars and the oral
healthcare spend in the UAE
has been increasing over the
past few years. As per Abu
Dhabi Vision 2030, the
emirate aims to provide
integrated continuum of care
for individuals thereby
improving the quality of
healthcare services, patient
safety and experience;
attracting, training and
retaining qualified
healthcare professionals;
ensuring value for money and
sustainability of healthcare
spending. With the emirate
set to become a role model
in the healthcare services,
it was ideal that Abu Dhabi
be chosen as a venue for
Gulf Dentex. While this is
just the inaugural edition,
we are confident that Gulf
Dentex will become an annual
calendar event,” concluded
Satish Khanna.
Gulf Dentex 2018 scientific
program will host over 60
international speakers and
1000 delegates, while the
exhibition will feature 250
exhibitors from 25
