HAAD team spreads joy to Children with Cancer at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain


(ArabMedicare.com) -- Representatives from Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) visited Tawam Hospital in Al Ain on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 to help lift up the spirits of children with cancer and ensure that they receive the best possible treatment. The HAAD team – comprising Dr. Asma Al Manaei, Manager of the Community Health & Surveillance Department; Dr. Jalaa Taher, Manager of the Non-Communicable Diseases Department; and Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Manager of the Communicable Diseases Department- collaborated with hospital personnel to deliver a short lecture on patient care. They then went around the cancer ward to distribute gifts and greetings to young patients.

The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) is the regulatory body of the Healthcare Sector for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensures excellence in Healthcare for the community by monitoring the health status of the population. HAAD also drives programs to increase awareness and adoption of healthy living standards among the residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in addition to regulating scope of services, premiums and reimbursement rates of the health system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
